Potomac School won against Trinity Christian last Saturday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Potomac School blew past the Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs 12-2. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Tony Diller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Potomac School got a big performance out of Will Piester, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Wyatt Pence was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base.
Potomac School's record is now 3-6. As for Southern Maryland Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Potomac School will host Georgetown Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Maryland Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Riverdale Baptist at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Riverdale Baptist has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
