The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 69-65 win over Milton. Given Lakeside Lutheran's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Milton is ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakeside Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Wes Rahn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 21 rebounds. The game was Rahn's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kooper Mlsna, who scored 14 points.
Lakeside Lutheran's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Milton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside Lutheran will challenge Delavan-Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delavan-Darien is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Milton, they will head out on the road to face off against Watertown at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Watertown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Milton likes a good challenge.
