Softball Recap: Broadwater Academy Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Broadwater Academy won the last time they faced Northampton and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings blew past the Yellowjackets 19-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ramsey Revelle made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Broadwater Academy got a massive performance out of Adrianna Holloway, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Holloway a new career-high. Sterling Stonestreet also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Broadwater Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Broadwater Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Northampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broadwater Academy will square off against StoneBridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Northampton, they will take on Nandua at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
