Overton is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Kingsbury a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Overton Wolverines will welcome the Kingsbury Mighty Falcons at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Overton's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Thursday, Overton beat Raleigh-Egypt 10-5.

Daiquan Dixon and Jercorion Wesley were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Dixon struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Wesley tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dixon has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Dixon went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Wesley got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Dixon is becoming a predictor of Overton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-3 (and 5-6-1 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cristian Gomez, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Haynes, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Kingsbury lost 21-6 to Memphis Central on Monday.
Christopher Woodruff was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Deyber Lovera Marin was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Overton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Kingsbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Overton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 13.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kingsbury struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Overton couldn't quite get it done against Kingsbury in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 29-25. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
