Even though the Corvallis Blue Devils have not done well against the Polson Pirates recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Corvallis slipped by Polson 57-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Polson had strong showings from Cason Graham, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Anthony Lichtenberg, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Vail, who scored nine points.
The victory got Corvallis back to even at 1-1. As for Polson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Corvallis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Polson and Bigfork will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
