The Greenville Classical Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 76-46 loss at the hands of Bob Jones Academy. While losing is never fun, Greenville Classical Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Bob Jones Academy is ranked 76th).
Greenville Classical Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Josiah Schvaneveldt, who scored 19 points, and Harris Myers who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Greenville Classical Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Bob Jones Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-3.
Greenville Classical Academy will take on Westgate Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Westgate Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Bob Jones Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenville H at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
