Sarcoxie has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Diamond Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sarcoxie stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Ash Grove 46-18 on the road.
Noah Garrison had a dynamite game for Sarcoxie, rushing for 231 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Garrison was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards.
Meanwhile, Diamond earned a 28-21 win over Clever on Friday. The win was just what Diamond needed coming off of a 39-12 defeat in their prior contest.
Kendal King was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Kaleb Belcher and his 87 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Diamond's win.
Sarcoxie's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points per game. As for Diamond, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Sarcoxie against Diamond in their previous matchup two weeks ago as the squad secured a 39-12 win. Will Sarcoxie repeat their success, or does Diamond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
