Mid-Continent recap October 22, 2013
Norton extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Continent this week by beating Minneapolis, 41-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bluejays.
Norton took down the Lions 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Sean Lee threw for 105 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Lee and Landon Younger gave Ellis a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Teammate Lee added to the ground attack by rushing for 69 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Phillipsburg's Riley Juenemann and Michael Dusin have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Juenemann has thrown for 856 yards this season, while Dusin has 9 catches for 214 yards. The Railroaders' Younger leads the league in rushing yards with 662.
Oakley and Decatur Community played the closest game in the league this week, with Oakley eventually emerging with a 12-6 victory.
