Meanwhile, Fountain-Fort Carson's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They skirted past Vista Ridge 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Fountain-Fort Carson has posted yet this season.
Fountain-Fort Carson relied on the efforts of Alexander Rivera, who scored 14 points, and Trevor Coleman, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Malik Hall was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Falcon's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Monday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Falcon have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 33.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Fountain-Fort Carson struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 28.2 rebounds per game. Given Falcon's sizeable advantage in that area, Fountain-Fort Carson will need to find a way to close that gap.
