The Paint Branch Panthers waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 60-52 win over Bethesda-Chevy Chase. That's another feather in the cap for Paint Branch, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Paint Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dennis Tamnou, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Horm, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Paint Branch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Paint Branch will look to defend their home court on Friday against Springbrook at 7:15 p.m. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Blair at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Blair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 82nd).
