Placer is 0-6 against Roseville since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Placer Hillmen will be playing at home against the Roseville Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Placer will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
While Placer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 15-11 win over Del Campo on Wednesday.

Sydney Nitta made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carly Rice, who scored five runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Myah Denny, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Placer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Roseville fell victim to Yuba City and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Honkers.
Placer pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Roseville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Placer's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. Placer has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Roseville, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Placer continue to outrun the ball?
