Fleming Island is 0-3 against Episcopal School of Jacksonville since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Fleming Island Golden Eagles will play host again and welcome the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Fleming Island focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, Fleming Island didn't have too much trouble with Clay at home as they won 59-41.
Fleming Island's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Jenkins, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Jenkins hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Martin, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville came up short against Creekside on Thursday and fell 36-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Episcopal School of Jacksonville has scored all season.
Fleming Island has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-10.
Fleming Island came up short against Episcopal School of Jacksonville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 57-48. Can Fleming Island avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
