The Orange Tornadoes will be playing at home against the University Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Orange had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 74-47 win over Hillside. Given Orange's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Comets are ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, University was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 65-60 to the Indians.
Orange's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for University, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Orange didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Phoenix in their previous meeting last Sunday, but they still walked away with a 66-60 victory. Will Orange repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
