East has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Liberty Leopards at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for East, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Ursuline. East has not had much luck with Ursuline recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Liberty scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Memorial 48-4 at home. The victory was just what Liberty needed coming off of a 59-16 loss in their prior contest.
East's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 4-16.
East came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, sneaking past 42-40. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Liberty's Aaliyah Foster, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds.
