It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Nixa Eagles can now relate to. They suffered a rough 38-14 loss at the hands of the Hawklets on Friday. Nixa's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Nate Uber threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Wyatt Vincent was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards. On the ground, Malachi Rider rushed for 56 yards.
Aidan Ryan was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hansen, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.
Nixa's defeat dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Rockhurst, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Nixa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rockhurst is on the road again on Friday and play against Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Liberty North is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
