Despite the defeat, Divine Savior Academy - Sienna saw an underclassman step up: Justin Abboud rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Jacob Abboud was in the mix too, providing Divine Savior Academy - Sienna with two touchdowns.
Elijah Burris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brazosport Christian, rushing for 179 yards and five touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Kole Calhoun, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Brazosport Christian's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was James Moore and his 2.5 sacks.
Divine Savior Academy - Sienna now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Brazosport Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Divine Savior Academy - Sienna will head out on the road to face off against Baytown Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baytown Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 233 points over their last four games. As for Brazosport Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alpha Omega Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
