Mariyah Marshall and Joslyn Johnson certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Marshall scored five points along with three steals, while Johnson scored five points.
Whiteland's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Beech Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Whiteland will be home for the holidays to greet Guerin Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Guerin Catholic is ranked 223rd, while Whiteland is ranked 216th). As for Beech Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
