The Delano Tigers came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 71-34 victory over Wasco at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Delano also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Delano had a senior duo take command as Ibrahim Shuwait scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals and Juan Lopez scored seven points along with five assists and five rebounds. Lopez hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rg Garcia, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Delano is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Wasco, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.
Delano will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McFarland will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Wasco will take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taft is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
