Borden extended the longest winning streak in 1A 6 Man 1 Region I District 4 (6 Man) this week by beating Dawson, 52-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Coyotes.
Borden was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Trey Richey's team beat the Bulldogs 52-0 earlier in the week.
The Coyotes' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jared Smith threw for 67 and one touchdown and TJ Basquez had 39 yards receiving. On the ground Tanner Richey chipped in 186 yards.
Borden's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Coyotes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Richey has thrown for 313 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Basquez has 10 catches for 214 yards. Richey also leads the league in rushing with 1855 yards.
Klondike suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 56-8 loss to Ira. The Cougars had been ranked 25th, but fell to 28 following the defeat.
