The Hillcrest Christian Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 65-29 win over Prairie View Academy on the road. With Hillcrest Christian ahead 33-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillcrest Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Severe McNeary, who scored 12 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Barnes, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Hillcrest Christian and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Prairie View Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest Christian will face off against Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie View Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
