The West Clermont Wolves have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 victory over Mt. Healthy on Tuesday.
Rayshawn Hubbard was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of West Clermont's points. Jaden Brock-Sanderfer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
West Clermont's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Mt. Healthy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Clermont will take on Little Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Little Miami knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully West Clermont likes a good challenge. As for Mt. Healthy, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mt. Healthy in Ohio (Northwest is ranked 335th, while Mt. Healthy is ranked 704th).
