The DuVal Tigers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Oxon Hill 27-24. That result was just more of the same for these two, as DuVal also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Ahmed Bundu had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Bundu really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Oforbuike Aneke, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Oxon Hill still got an impressive performance from Cameron Azodeh, who rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
DuVal's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Oxon Hill, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuVal will take on Bowie at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bowie is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Oxon Hill, they will be playing at home against Marriotts Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
