Basketball Recap: Wingate Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Wingate hadn't done well against Van Arsdale recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wingate Generals walked away with a 44-31 win over the Van Arsdale Cardinals. The victory was nothing new for the Generals as they're now sitting on three straight.

Wingate pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Van Arsdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wingate will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bushwick at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. After both having extra time off, Van Arsdale and Gaynor will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
