After flying high against the Elkin Buckin' Elks last Friday, the North Wilkes Vikings came back down to earth. North Wilkes took a serious blow against Watauga on Wednesday, falling 70-38.
Watauga got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Pryor out in front who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds. Josiah Railey was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
North Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Watauga, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
North Wilkes will be playing at home against East Wilkes at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watauga, they will head out on the road to face off against Avery County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Avery County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three games.
