On Saturday, the Pinson Valley Indians faced the JAG Jaguars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pinson Valley walked away with a 70-59 win over JAG. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
JaMicah Adair and Ladarius Givan certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Adair scored 21 points, while Givan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Adair is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedrickus Williams, who scored eight points.
Pinson Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for JAG, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-2.
Pinson Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Fairfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 588 points over their last nine contests. As for JAG, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pike Road at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pike Road is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
