There's no place like home for Summerville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-17 victory over the Denair Coyotes. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summerville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Leveroos, who rushed for 103 yards and three scores. Another player making a difference was Clavey Duncan, who rushed for 77 yards and one TD.

Despite the loss, Denair still got an impressive performance from Connor Hart, who rushed for 132 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and also caught one score. The Coyotes also got a significant boost from Bryson Salazar, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.

The victory got Summerville back to even at 1-1. As for Denair, their record is now an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerville will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Denair, they will welcome McClatchy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
