After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, The Alhambra Lions were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 18-6 victory over Copper Canyon. This was payback for Alhambra, who suffered a 27-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Alhambra can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Rwanyamugabo, who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Rwanyamugabo was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Alhambra's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Copper Canyon, their loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Copper Canyon also has no future games currently scheduled.
