The home team had come away the winner the last four times Southern Guilford and Ben L. Smith had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Storm were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Golden Eagles on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Storm, who have now won eight matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Southern Guilford pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ben L. Smith, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Southern Guilford and Ben L. Smith will both be playing Eastern Guilford the next time they take the field. The Storm will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
