 Even though they lost, Green Canyon  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Like Green Canyon, Clearfield also got a great game from a two-way player:  Jenna Lloyd. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Lloyd was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Aly Ridge, who  went 2-for-5 with two  RBI and a  double.  Elizabeth Salazar was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 Green Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Clearfield, their win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-10.
 Green Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Crest at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Mountain Crest is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
