Piedmont Community Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Wilcher , who scored 18 points. The matchup was Wilcher 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Erwin, who scored 16 points.
Carolina International's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-7-1. As for Piedmont Community Charter, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Carolina International will head out on the road to face off against Sugar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sugar Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jackson Day at 7:30 p.m.
