Ayersville and Tinora are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Ayersville Pilots will head out on the road to challenge the Tinora Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ayersville's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Tinora's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Ayersville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kalida. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ayersville has scored all season.
Ayersville's loss came about despite a quality game from Ally Schindler, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Schindler hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Meanwhile, Tinora lost to Allen East at home by a decisive 56-38 margin on Tuesday.
Ayersville's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-1. As for Tinora, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Ayersville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Tinora in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ayersville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
