The Caston Comets lost against the Frontier Falcons back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Caston fell just short of Frontier by a score of 32-29. Caston has struggled against Frontier recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Caston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Stinson, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds, and Grant Yadon who scored 4 points along with 3 steals. Stinson scored a full 34.5% of Caston's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Caston now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Frontier, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caston will challenge Knox at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Frontier and Clinton Prairie will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clinton Prairie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 308 points over their last five games.
