The Bay Port Pirates will face off against the Peshtigo Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bay Port is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Bay Port barely beat Green Bay Southwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates' pitcher stepped up to hand the Fighting Trojans a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Estelle Finlan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Bay Port let Payton Dudra and Chloe Martell run wild. Dudra went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Martell went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That stolen base was Dudra's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan VandenBrandon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Bay Port kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Peshtigo has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.29 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 11-4 to Algoma. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Peshtigo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Bay Port, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
