St. Helens had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-44 punch to the gut against Redmond on Friday.
Junior Colt Folston, who, was a major factor in the success. Junior Henry Chambers also helped out with an impressive 122 receiving yards in the win. This was the first contest for both squads, starting St. Helens off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Redmond a 1-0 record.
St. Helens will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Hillsboro at 7:00 PM. As for Redmond, they will face off against Eagle Point.
