The Evangel Christian Lightning typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the East Central HomeSchool Patriots proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Lightning by a score of 57-48. This was a revenge matchup for East Central HomeSchool, as the team was forced to settle for a 48-47 loss when these two played last Monday.
Micah Coalson was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of East Central HomeSchool's points. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Ferino, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Evangel Christian saw an underclassman step up: Bailey Bullock scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bullock has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Wells, who scored ten points.
East Central HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Evangel Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9.
East Central HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evangel Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
