South San Antonio scaled the state rankings by moving to 943 from 973 this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region IV District 28. The Bobcats climbed the ranks as a result of beating Burbank 20-7.
South San Antonio made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,596 from 11,042. The improvement was the result of 20-7 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
Steele's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. LG Williams threw for 91 yards and D'Angelo Wallace had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Justin Stockton contributed 284 yards. Jaylen Harris helped Steele's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.
