The Mulvane Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Winfield Vikings at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Mulvane's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Winfield has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Mulvane pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Circle. Mulvane has struggled against Circle recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Mulvane saw an underclassman step up: Manny Myers went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Abasolo, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Mulvane have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Winfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Mulvane strolled past Winfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 64-45. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Winfield's Christian Moree, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Mulvane still be able to contain Moree? There's only one way to find out.
