After losing to the Triton Trojans the last time they met, the Manchester Squires decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The stars were shining brightly for Manchester in a 62-48 victory over Triton on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Manchester.
Manchester got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brookelynn Buzzard out in front who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Peyton Ream was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and three steals.
Manchester has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Triton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Northfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. Triton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oregon-Davis at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Oregon-Davis is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
