Jordan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Stansbury Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two weeks ago, Jordan won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Hillcrest 14-13. The victory was just what Jordan needed coming off of a 55-30 loss in their prior contest.
Jordan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wilson Numbers, who rushed for 112 yards on only 14 carries. Bo Williams did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Stansbury had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down Tooele 41-27. Stansbury pushed the score to 41-13 by the end of the third, a deficit Tooele cut but never quite recovered from.
Coleman Dearden looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Tyson Ferry was another key contributor, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan's victory two weeks ago bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Stansbury, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-4.
Jordan was dealt a bruising 40-8 loss at the hands of Stansbury when the teams last played back in September. Can Jordan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
