Mt. Pleasant had a rough outing against Pella last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Mt. Pleasant took the contest and then some with a 50-0 win on Friday over Central Lee. The success represented a nice turnaround for Mt. Pleasant, who in their last game suffered a tough 6-35 loss.
The victory bumped Mt. Pleasant's record up to 1-2. Central Lee are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Mt. Pleasant will stay at home next week against Ottumwa at 7:30 PM. Central Lee will be staying on the road, facing off against West Burlington/Notre Dame. Central Lee come in off of 3 low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
