Charlotte Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Charlotte Country Day School a 36-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Jamal Rule produced another solid performance rushing for 75 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 38 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Charlotte Christian: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rabun Gap-Nacoochee). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 64-7 victory over Christ School. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 17th in Georgia, while the Greenies are ranked 165th in North Carolina).
Charlotte Christian better keep an eye on Jordan Lindo. He was instrumental in Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win, rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 69 receiving yards and one score. Lindo really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. Another player making a difference was Grayson Clary, who threw for 119 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Segun Alexander was the leader with two. Isaac Lukuni was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Special teams played a big role in the game for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Walker Bryson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Charlotte Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, their record now sits at 7-4.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Charlotte Christian has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 159.3 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee has preferred to attack from the air: they average 277 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
