While the Lawrence County Red Devils couldn't quite beat the Russellville Golden Tigers on Saturday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 27-point defeat they were dealt last Thursday. Lawrence County fell just short of the Golden Tigers by a score of 42-40. Lawrence County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lawrence County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kylie Graham, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Templeton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Lawrence County has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Russellville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.
Lawrence County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Russellville also has no future games currently scheduled.
