Kiel hasn't had much luck against Chilton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raiders will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Kiel turned things around against Reedsville on Friday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-2.

Liz Neils made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Halfmann, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Kiel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reedsville only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Chilton was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah with a sharp 16-6 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Kiel, Chilton also got a great game from a two-way player: Gwendolyn Sell. She pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Sell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Reegan Woodard was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Danika Gates was another key player, earning one RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
Chilton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Kiel, their record now sits at 5-11.
Kiel couldn't quite get it done against Chilton in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 7-4. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
