The Arizona College Prep Knights will head out on the road to take on the Combs Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arizona College Prep is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Thursday, Arizona College Prep came up short against Eastmark and fell 66-54.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Zach Cutler, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Moore, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Combs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Tempe by a score of 60-53 on Monday.
Combs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaimin Amador led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Amador hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Logan Tuckfield was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Arizona College Prep's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-4. As for Combs, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Arizona College Prep hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 54.4 points per game. It's a different story for Combs, though, as they've been averaging only 65.4 points per game. The only thing between Arizona College Prep and another offensive beatdown is Combs. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Arizona College Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Combs in their previous meeting last Monday, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arizona College Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
