The Cherokee Trail Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They breezed by Smoky Hill on the road  to the tune of  110-11. Cherokee Trail has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  contests by 21  points or more this season.
 Cherokee Trail got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Karson Chaney out in front who  scored 25 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Chaney has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Damara Allen, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds.
 Cherokee Trail pushed their record up to 13-2 with that  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Smoky Hill, they are  on a seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee Trail will take on Eaglecrest at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Eaglecrest will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Cherokee Trail is ranked first). As for Smoky Hill, they will look to defend their home court  on Thursday against Arapahoe at 7:00  p.m.
