Mo Hussein Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Deer Trail's Mo Hussein, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hussein forced a fumble and made ten total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making ten total tackles.
For the year, Hussein has averaged 11 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to ten.

Tyler Decker and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Hanover picked up their fifth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Tyler Decker. Decker turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Bethune had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Decker it was a similar story. Decker threw for 147 yards and five touchdowns on only 11 passes the last time he and the Bobcats duked it out back in September of 2023.

Manzanola had to settle for second on Friday, but Craig Pittmann sure wasn't going down easily. Pittmann turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 50 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Manzanola dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Pittmann and Manzanola will be playing at home against Kiowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Jayden Mingee Leads Deer Trail over Manzanola
Jayden Mingee produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Deer Trail to the win on Friday. Mingee picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 74 yards.
This year, Mingee has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 59.4 receiving yards per game.
