That was a full 39.6% of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Degaragen Paradis, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Holland Patent's game last Wednesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Oneida 67-53. Given Holland Patent's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Oneida is ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Holland Patent, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
