Hobbs hadn't beaten Roswell on the road since April 15, 2025 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Coyotes 9-2. Considering the Eagles have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Maryna Valenzuela was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sol Rangel, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Raulston, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Hobbs is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
