It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Del Oro Golden Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past Folsom 76-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Del Oro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Pinnick, who scored 36 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Williams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Del Oro and bumps their season record up to 19-6. As for Folsom, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9.
Del Oro will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Folsom, they will head out on the road to square off against the Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocklin will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak alive.
