After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eaton, Sterling was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fort Lupton Bluedevils a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Blake Kloberdanz made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Aiden Ortega was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Memphis Dempcy, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Sterling always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Lupton only posted an OBP of .308.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Fort Lupton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sterling will welcome University at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Lupton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alameda at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bluedevils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 14.2 runs per game this season.
